Successful Launch of Colorectal Cancer Free Screening & Awareness Campaign by Rotary Club of Montebello 
Pdt Leena & members of RC Montebello are thrilled to share the resounding success of the Colorectal Cancer Free Screening & Awareness Campaign, held in collaboration with Royal Green Hospital on Saturday 23rd March 2024. The month of March is also known for the Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. This remarkable event brought together members of our community in a unified effort to prioritize health and well-being.
The day was marked by an outpouring of support and participation from individuals across the island: La Tour Koeing, Saint Pierre, Beau Bassin, Richelieu, Pointes-aux-Sables, Cassis. The dedicated team of doctors from Royal Green Hospital delivered insightful interventions, emphasizing the critical importance of early screening and prevention in combating colorectal cancer. Their expertise and guidance illuminated the path towards better health for all attendees. A very special thanks to Dr Dhanraz Gopal, Dr Ashvin Chinniah & Mrs Nassem Ameerudden for their sharing.
Participants aged 45 and above availed themselves of free screening tests, ensuring that they took proactive steps towards safeguarding their health. Such a project exemplifies the power of unity and collective action in creating positive change. Together, we have made a tangible difference in our community, instilling hope and resilience in the face of adversity.
